Who can take part
- You are between 18 and 75 years old.
- You have liver cirrhosis (scarring of the liver) caused by fatty liver disease (including alcohol-related).
- You have been hospitalized within the last 6 weeks for a serious liver problem, or you need repeated procedures to drain fluid from your belly (at least twice in 6 months).
- Your liver disease severity score (MELD) is between 12 and 20.
- You are not currently drinking alcohol above a low threshold, and you are willing to avoid alcohol during the study.
