Who can take part
- You are over 18 years old
- You had your first stroke (either ischemic or hemorrhagic) within the last 30 days
- Your stroke is mild to moderate (NIHSS score less than 16)
- You still have some movement in your weaker arm and hand (MRC score 2-4 and NIHSS items 5A/5B score 1-3)
- You do not have severe muscle tightness, severe language problems, or severe neglect
- You have no metal implants or other contraindications to the stimulator used in this study
