Who can take part

  • You have acute myeloid leukemia (AML) in first remission, OR myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) with 5-20% blast cells in your bone marrow.
  • You have a suitable stem cell donor (a matched sibling, a closely matched unrelated donor, or a half-matched family donor).
  • You do not have an active infection that requires treatment right now.
  • Your liver, kidneys, and heart are working normally or any problems are well controlled.
