This study looks at special blood markers (CTCs) to see how sensitive your cancer is to chemotherapy and to better predict how well treatment may work. If you have metastatic nasopharyngeal cancer and can’t have local treatment, this may help match you to more effective chemo plans.

Who can take part

  • You have nasopharyngeal cancer that has spread to distant parts after 3 months of radiation and local treatment isn’t possible
  • You have at least one measurable spot of cancer that doctors can track on scans
  • You’re age 18 to 70, and your health status is good (ECOG 0 to 1)
  • Your expected survival is at least 3 months, and you can give informed consent
  • Your blood counts and organ tests are high enough to safely receive treatment (white blood cells, neutrophils, hemoglobin, platelets, and liver/kidney function)
