Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You have a confirmed large blood clot in your lung causing very low blood pressure or needing a machine to help your heart restart.
  • You have a fast-available treatment center that can start the procedure within an hour.
  • You do not have other major reasons for your low blood pressure, like severe lung disease or heart failure.
  • You have not recently had a stroke, major surgery, or serious bleeding.
  • You are not pregnant.
