Who can take part

  • You are 18 years old or older.
  • Your pulmonary embolism was confirmed by a CT scan or a heart ultrasound and a lung artery X-ray.
  • You have a high-risk or intermediate-high risk pulmonary embolism (based on blood tests and heart imaging).
  • Your doctor thinks you may benefit from a catheter-based treatment (a thin tube placed in your vein to break up the clot).
  • Your symptoms started within the last 7 days.
