Who can take part
- You must be 18 years or older
- You must have been diagnosed with carpal tunnel syndrome
- You cannot have had wrist surgery or a wrist fracture
- You cannot have other nerve problems that affect the wrist (like a pinched nerve in the neck or widespread nerve damage)
- You must not have conditions that can cause carpal tunnel syndrome, such as diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, pregnancy, acromegaly, or hypothyroidism
- You must not have any other nerve-related findings in electrical tests
