- You are age 18 or older
- Your symptoms are in only one wrist (unilateral wrist pain)
- Your healthcare team has planned a steroid shot in the wrist or wrist surgery
- You have not had prior wrist surgery on the affected side
- You do not have symptoms in both wrists (no bilateral symptoms)
