Who can take part
- You have been diagnosed with carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) using American Academy of Neurology criteria
- You do not have nerve problems in the neck or shoulder that could also affect the median nerve (for example radiculopathy, brachial plexopathy, thoracic outlet syndrome)
- You have not had carpal tunnel surgery before
- You are not pregnant
- You do not have obstructive sleep apnea or certain thyroid/muscle/joint/immune diseases
