Who can take part

  • You must have a type of lung cancer called non-small cell lung cancer that has spread or cannot be removed with surgery.
  • Your cancer must have an EGFR mutation (a specific change in the cancer cells) that can be treated with targeted therapy.
  • You must have at least one tumor that can be measured on a scan (like a CT or MRI).
  • You must be generally healthy enough to be up and about (ECOG 0 or 1).
  • You cannot have had any prior treatment for advanced lung cancer, including EGFR-targeted pills.
  • You must not have active brain metastases, serious heart problems, or a history of certain lung conditions.
