Study of APL-9796 for Pulmonary Hypertension with CardioMEMS Monitor

Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension

This trial tests a study drug called APL-9796 for people with pulmonary hypertension (PH). It may help by using your CardioMEMS monitor to see how well the drug works. You can take part only if you have a CardioMEMS implant and your PH is not too mild or too severe.

Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 80 years old.
  • You have been diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension (confirmed by a heart catheterization test in the past).
  • Your symptoms from PH fall into WHO Class II or III (i.e., you feel some limits during activity but can still do everyday tasks).
  • You already have a CardioMEMS sensor implanted in your lung artery to monitor your heart pressure.
  • You have not been in the hospital for PH in the last 3 months.
  • You do not have severe kidney disease (estimated GFR above 30).
