Who can take part

  • You are 18 years old or older.
  • You are having a STEMI heart attack (a specific type seen on an ECG) and are being treated within 12 hours of symptoms starting.
  • You are not pregnant.
  • You do not have certain heart conditions, like a blocked artery that can't be opened (CTO), a tear in the artery wall (SCAD), or a very weak heart (cardiomyopathy).
  • You are not in cardiogenic shock (heart too weak to pump blood).
  • You do not have uncontrolled high blood pressure (systolic over 180 or diastolic over 110), a serious heart rhythm problem, or an allergy to adrenaline.
  • You are willing to give your consent for the study.
