Studying chest pain after successful heart stent procedure

This study looks at why some people still have chest pain (angina) even after a successful heart stent procedure (PCI). You will have a heart MRI (stress CMR) before the stent procedure, and doctors will measure blood flow in your heart arteries during and after the procedure.

Who can take part

  • You have angina (chest pain) based on a heart health questionnaire (SAQ-7 score less than 90)
  • You are scheduled for a stress heart MRI (stress CMR) before your stent procedure
  • You are going to have a heart stent procedure (PCI) that is expected to be successful
  • Doctors will measure blood flow in your heart arteries during and after the stent procedure
  • You have not had a heart attack within the last 30 days
  • Your stent procedure will happen within 90 days of your stress heart MRI
