Who can take part

  • You are 18 or older and, if female, past menopause.
  • Your breast cancer is advanced, hormone receptor-positive, and HER2-negative.
  • You have not received chemotherapy or a CDK4/6 inhibitor for your advanced cancer.
  • You have had prior hormone therapy (like tamoxifen or an aromatase inhibitor) and your cancer worsened during or within 12 months after finishing it.
  • You have at least one tumor that can be measured on scans (for the expansion part of the trial).
  • You are in good enough health to have a daily activity level of 0 or 1 on a standard scale.
  • You have not had prior treatment with fulvestrant or drugs that block the PI3K/AKT/mTOR pathway.
  • You do not have serious lung disease, uncontrolled fluid buildup, or certain digestive problems.
  • You are not allergic to any of the study drugs or their ingredients.
