- You are an adult and have agreed to be in the study.
- You fit one of these situations: having a liver biopsy for suspected NASH, having part of your liver removed for cancer or other growths, a healthy liver biopsy after transplant, or gallbladder removal surgery.
- You are willing to give a blood sample and let the study use your DNA and medical records.
- You do not have active viral hepatitis (like hepatitis B or C) or other specific liver diseases (like autoimmune hepatitis, hemochromatosis, alpha-1-antitrypsin deficiency, or Wilson's disease).
