NCT06856252Recruiting
Studying human liver organoids for a fatty liver disease called NASH

This study takes small samples of liver tissue to grow 3D 'mini livers' (organoids) in the lab. Researchers want to learn how non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), a serious fatty liver condition, starts and progresses, which could lead to better treatments.

NCT04925362Not yet recruiting
French study of fat in the liver and related health outcomes

This study follows adults with nonalcohol-related fatty liver disease (NAFLD) to better understand the condition and what factors affect it. It may help researchers learn which patients are most at risk and how care can be improved in the future.

NCT04442334Recruiting
European registry for people with fatty liver

This registry collects health and lifestyle information from adults with suspected or confirmed fatty liver (NAFLD) to help researchers better understand the condition. You may be asked about diet, exercise, alcohol intake, and some liver-related tests.

NCT06396871Recruiting
Blood cell study in metabolic diseases

This study looks at blood cells and factors in people with metabolic diseases like fatty liver, prediabetes, or type 2 diabetes. It aims to better understand these conditions by comparing them with healthy volunteers.

Dresden, Saxony
NCT04036357Recruiting
Study of liver fat disease with heart and metabolism problems

This study looks at people with fatty liver disease and common health issues like obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure, or abnormal cholesterol. It may help researchers understand how liver fat and heart/metabolism problems relate and how they affect health over time.

Rome
NCT04371042Recruiting
Study of liver disease and genes in people with fatty liver

This study collects information about metabolic and unexplained (cryptogenic) liver disease and looks at “omics” tests, which are lab tests that measure patterns in blood or tissue to learn what drives the disease. It may help researchers better understand fatty liver and related serious complications, like liver scarring and liver cancer.
