Who can take part

  • Adults 18 to 99 years old
  • Have a cochlear implant that has been active for more than one year
  • Lost most of your hearing after age 16
  • No major medical conditions like seizures, head injury, or heart disease (unless approved by the study doctor)
  • Not pregnant or planning to become pregnant during the study
  • Not taking certain medications that affect blood flow to the brain (like ginkgo biloba or acetazolamide)
