This study tests whether virtual reality (VR) exercises can help people who have had a stroke recover arm movement. You will play specially designed VR games while in the hospital or at home to see if it improves your arm function.

Who can take part
- You had your first ischemic stroke (clot-caused) in the middle cerebral artery area of your brain.
- Your affected arm has moderate to severe weakness (measured by a standard test).
- You can understand and agree to participate, or someone you trust can give permission for you.
- If you're still in the hospital: you had your stroke less than 5 weeks ago and are at Valley Regional Hospital in Kentville, NS.
- If you're at home: you had your stroke less than 3 months ago and live within a 1-hour drive of Valley Regional Hospital in Kentville, NS.
