Who can take part

  • You are between 20 and 70 years old.
  • You have fatty liver disease, confirmed by a FibroScan test, and at least one of these: a body mass index (BMI) of 23 or higher, a large waist size, high blood sugar or diabetes, high blood pressure, high triglycerides, or low 'good' cholesterol.
  • You have not taken probiotics, prebiotics, antibiotics, or certain anti-inflammatory drugs recently (within 14 to 30 days).
  • You are not pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to travel outside the country for an extended period during the study.
  • You are willing to provide stool samples and follow all study procedures for about 6 months.
