Who can take part

  • You have a heart condition called chronic or acute coronary syndrome (like stable angina or a heart attack).
  • Your doctor plans to use a special ultrasound (IVUS) to guide placing a stent in your artery.
  • The total length of stents needed must be 48 millimeters or shorter (about 2 inches).
  • Your body mass index (BMI) must be 35 or less.
  • You must not have uncontrolled, recurrent ventricular tachycardia (a fast, dangerous heart rhythm).
  • You cannot be in cardiogenic shock (where the heart can't pump enough blood).
