Who can take part

  • You have papillary thyroid cancer confirmed by a needle biopsy (TIR 4 or 5).
  • You are scheduled to have all or part of your thyroid removed (lobectomy or total thyroidectomy).
  • No evidence of cancer in your neck lymph nodes before surgery (by feel or ultrasound).
  • No cancer spread to other organs found before surgery.
  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You agree to participate and sign a consent form.
