  • You have had a stroke that causes weakness on one side of your body for at least 6 months.
  • You are a man between 55 and 65 years old.
  • Your body mass index (BMI) is between 29.9 and 34.9.
  • Your thinking and memory are mildly affected, but you can still understand instructions.
  • You have not done any special breathing muscle exercises before.
  • You have a condition where your blood pressure drops when you stand up suddenly.
