Who can take part
- You have been diagnosed with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), the most common type of liver cancer.
- Your liver cancer did not respond to or came back after a procedure called TACE (chemoembolization).
- You have not had any prior chemotherapy or targeted therapy by mouth or through a vein for liver cancer.
- You have at least one tumor in your liver that can be measured on a scan, and it does not take up more than 70% of your liver.
- Your liver is working fairly well (Child-Pugh class A or B) and you are in good general health (able to do light housework or desk work).
- A special scan (SPECT/CT) shows that internal radiation (SIRT) can be safely given to your liver tumors.
