Who can take part
- Child is between 6 and 18 years old.
- Diagnosed with lupus (SLE) and has active lupus nephritis (kidney inflammation) confirmed by a kidney biopsy in the last 6 months.
- Kidney problems have not improved after trying at least two different immunosuppressant medications for over 6 months, or they got better but then came back.
- Blood test shows CD19 protein on immune cells (B cells).
- Child is generally healthy enough for the treatment (good vein access, adequate blood counts, liver and kidney function).
