  • You have type 2 diabetes.
  • You are 40 years or older.
  • You have a specific abnormal test result showing early nerve damage to your heart (called an abnormal E/I ratio).
  • You are not already taking certain heart or blood pressure medications that could interfere.
  • You do not have advanced nerve damage, heart failure, or kidney failure.
