Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older.
- You have type 2 diabetes and chronic kidney disease (specific levels of kidney function and protein in urine).
- You have been diagnosed with heart failure (New York Heart Association class II to IV) and have evidence of heart structure changes on an ultrasound.
- Your heart's pumping ability (ejection fraction) is 40% or higher, measured in the last year.
- You have elevated NT-proBNP levels (a marker of heart strain) and your potassium is not too high.
- You have not had a heart attack, stroke, or major heart procedure in the last 90 days, and you are not using certain medications that interact with the study drug.
