Who can take part
- You are between 30 and 75 years old
- You have advanced gum disease (Stage III periodontitis) with gum pockets 5-7 mm deep on at least 8 teeth
- You have at least 24 natural teeth, with at least 2 teeth in each back section of your mouth
- You agree not to use antibacterial mouthwashes or toothpastes (like Listerine, Colgate Total, Crest Pro-Health) during the study
- You agree not to use electric flossers or water flossers during the study
- You are able to do your own oral care without help
