  • You are 18 years or older
  • You have arthritis in one or both knees (called primary gonarthrosis)
  • You are scheduled to have a total knee replacement surgery
  • You have not had a broken knee, previous knee replacement, or knee realignment surgery
  • You do not have a nerve or muscle disease (like stroke or Parkinson's)
  • You are not pregnant or planning to become pregnant (if you are a woman of childbearing age)
