Who can take part
- You have a single thyroid nodule that was found to be suspicious or cancerous by a needle biopsy (Bethesda category 5 or 6).
- The nodule is smaller than 2 centimeters in all directions.
- You do not have cancer spread to lymph nodes or beyond the thyroid capsule.
- Your nodule is in a location that is safe for the needle procedure.
- You have not had previous thyroid surgery and do not have overactive parathyroid glands.
- You are not pregnant and are able to give informed consent.
