Who can take part

  • You have papillary thyroid cancer (confirmed by biopsy) with tumors 2 cm or smaller.
  • The cancer has not spread beyond your thyroid (no lymph node involvement or distant spread).
  • Your tumors are located safely away from important structures (like your windpipe or major blood vessels), or can be separated from them during the procedure.
  • You either cannot have surgery due to other health conditions or choose not to have surgery.
  • You are 18 or older, not pregnant, and able to give informed consent.
