Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older
- Your BMI is between 18.5 and 29.9
- You have uremia (kidney failure) and need dialysis, OR you are having forearm or hand surgery and do not have any other nerve condition
- You are not allergic to numbing medicines like ropivacaine
- You do not have a bleeding disorder, infection, or severe heart/lung disease that would prevent a nerve block
- You are not pregnant
