Who can take part

  • You are between 30 and 75 years old
  • You have type 2 diabetes with an A1C between 7% and 9%, and fasting blood sugar between 7 and 10 mmol/L
  • You either are newly diagnosed and only using diet and exercise, or you've been on DPP-4 inhibitors or SGLT2 inhibitors for at least 12 weeks
  • You have coronary heart disease confirmed by angiogram and are on standard heart medications including aspirin and metoprolol
  • You have not used GLP-1 drugs (like Ozempic) or metformin in the last 4 weeks
  • You do not have severe heart failure, kidney failure, liver problems, pancreatitis, or cancer
