  • You are 18 years or older
  • You are in the hospital for heart failure
  • Your blood test (NT-proBNP) must be over 500 pg/mL
  • You received a type of water pill (IV diuretic) within 24 hours of being admitted
  • You are not pregnant at the time of admission
