Who can take part

  • You must have a kidney biopsy confirming IgA nephropathy (IgAN) within the past 10 years (or 2 years if you have type 2 diabetes).
  • Your kidney function (eGFR) must be at least 30 mL/min/1.73 m² (or at least 20 in some cases).
  • You must have significant protein in your urine (at least 1 gram per day) from a 24-hour urine collection.
  • You need to be on a stable dose of blood pressure medicines (ACE inhibitors or ARBs) for at least 12 weeks before joining.
  • You cannot have taken strong immune-suppressing drugs or steroids for IgAN in the last 4 months.
  • You should not have other serious kidney diseases, active infections, or a weakened immune system.
