Who can take part

  • You are between 10 and 45 years old.
  • You have hereditary spastic paraplegia (HSP) confirmed by a doctor and genetic testing.
  • You have a tight Achilles tendon (heel cord) or a clubfoot-like deformity called equinovarus cavus.
  • Your foot problem has not improved enough with medicines or physical therapy, and it is getting worse.
  • Your foot problem causes pain when walking, frequent falls, or limits your daily life.
  • You can walk barefoot for 10 meters (about 30 feet) with or without a walker or cane.
