Who can take part

  • You have a broken hip (hip fracture).
  • The fracture was not caused by an underlying disease (like cancer).
  • It did not happen around a hip replacement implant.
  • You speak and understand Danish.
  • You are willing to receive a blood transfusion if needed.
  • You are able to cooperate with the study team (for example, no severe dementia with aggressive behavior).
