Who can take part

  • You must be 65 years or older.
  • You are scheduled for surgery to fix a hip fracture.
  • You will be admitted to one of the participating hospitals in Valencia, Spain.
  • You have a family member or caregiver who speaks and reads Spanish and can help during your stay.
  • You should not already be confused or have a serious memory problem at the start of the study.
