Hand therapy for stroke: may help speech and swallowing

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • Your stroke happened more than 3 months ago.
  • You have some weakness in one arm (enough to lift a small block).
  • You have trouble speaking, swallowing, or both.
  • You can sit upright for at least 1 hour and follow simple instructions.
