Who can take part
- You’re over 18 years old
- Your carotid ultrasound shows at least 30% narrowing in the neck artery
- You have had no prior stroke or other cerebrovascular event in the same area
- You have not had carotid surgery or a carotid stent before
- You are not currently in advanced heart failure, and you have not had a heart attack in the past 7 days
- You can take part in follow-up visits (the study staff must feel it’s feasible)
