  • You have a BMI between 30 and 40
  • You are classified as ASA II or III (has mild to severe, but not life-threatening, health issues)
  • You are between 18 and 60 years old
  • You are scheduled for laparoscopic (minimally invasive) weight-loss surgery
  • You have no history of chest surgery, lung disease, abnormal chest X-ray, heart failure, low blood volume, or high pressure in the skull
