Who can take part

  • You must be 18 or older and have colorectal or stomach cancer (or a non-invasive growth) that can be removed with surgery.
  • You need to be able to walk and follow standard recovery steps after surgery.
  • You must speak basic conversational English and be able to give consent.
  • You cannot have a pacemaker, other implanted electrical device, or metal in your upper legs.
  • You cannot have conditions like Parkinson's, epilepsy, dementia, or certain kidney or liver problems.
