  • You were diagnosed with an aortic dissection (a tear in the main artery) within the last 2 weeks.
  • You need emergency surgery to fix the torn aorta.
  • You are between 18 and 90 years old.
  • You do not have a known allergy to either study drug (ulinastatin or thymosin α1).
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding.
