Who can take part

  • You are 65 or older and can visit the clinic as an outpatient.
  • You have trouble sleeping that fits the official definition of insomnia.
  • You are not taking other sleep medications, melatonin, or certain antidepressants.
  • You don't have serious heart problems, Parkinson's disease, or severe sleep apnea.
  • You are not currently in or planning to start talk therapy for sleep.
  • You drink less than 14 alcoholic drinks per day and don't use alcohol to sleep.
