AI-assisted stent placement study for heart disease

Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI)Coronary Arterial Disease (CAD)

Part of Heart & circulation clinical trials.

This trial tests whether a new artificial intelligence tool called Medipixel XA can help doctors place stents more precisely in blocked heart arteries. If you have coronary artery disease and need a stent, this study could be an option.

Who can take part

  • You have a blocked heart artery that has not been treated before with a stent.
  • You have had a heart attack, stable or unstable angina, or silent ischemia (reduced blood flow to the heart without symptoms).
  • You are not expected to have a life-threatening illness that limits life to less than one year.
  • You can take blood-thinning medications safely.
  • You do not have certain high-risk lesion types like a fully blocked artery (chronic total occlusion), a left main artery blockage, or severe calcium buildup needing special drilling.

NCT06910436Recruiting
AI timing and outcomes in heart attack study

This trial uses artificial intelligence to analyze ECG results and timing in patients with a type of heart attack called Non-STEMI (where the artery is narrowed but not fully blocked). The goal is to see if AI can help predict damage and outcomes, which could lead to better care.

NCT06898021Recruiting
3D stent study for heart artery blockages

This trial tests a new way of placing stents in heart arteries using a special ultrasound guidance. It may be a good option if you have a heart condition needing a stent and the area to be stented is not too long.

NCT05807841Recruiting
AI ultrasound during stent placement in heart artery blockages

This trial tests an artificial-intelligence tool that uses a heart ultrasound to help guide stent treatment. It may help doctors choose the best way to treat blockages and improve stent results for people with symptoms from reduced blood flow to the heart.

NCT07329699Recruiting
AI-Guided Heart Artery Pressure Test vs Standard Test

This study compares a new artificial intelligence (AI) method to measure blood flow in your heart arteries (called Medipixel FFR) with the standard invasive method. If you are scheduled for a heart angiogram or stenting and have a moderate blockage (40-90% narrowing) that doctors are unsure about, this AI tool may help decide the best treatment for you.

NCT07512778Recruiting
Heart stent placement guided by ultrasound vs. imaging

This trial compares two ways doctors place heart stents in patients having a heart attack or unstable chest pain. One method uses ultrasound imaging inside the artery (IVUS), and the other uses standard X-ray imaging. The goal is to see which approach leads to better outcomes.

AI predicts heart artery changes after stenting

This study uses artificial intelligence to predict how heart arteries might change after a stent procedure (PCI). Researchers will collect blood samples and medical data to develop a tool that could help doctors make better treatment decisions.
