Who can take part
- You have bipolar disorder (type I or II) and are currently in a depressed episode.
- You took part in the TRIBE study and your depression did not improve enough after 6 weeks.
- You are not having a mixed or manic episode right now.
- You are currently taking a mood stabilizer that helps prevent mania (like lithium, quetiapine, or aripiprazole).
- You have not had a substance use problem (other than nicotine or caffeine) in the last 3 months.
- You do not have any implanted metal in your head (like aneurysm clips or stimulators) that cannot be safely removed.
