Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You had major surgery within the last 48 hours.
  • Your blood oxygen level is low (less than 200 on a certain test).
  • You have signs of breathing trouble and a fast breathing rate (over 25 breaths per minute).
  • You are not pregnant, do not have face or mouth injuries/burns, and do not have active stomach or bowel bleeding.
