Better heart attack risk prediction study

Who can take part

  • You have been hospitalized for a heart attack or unstable angina and received treatment with a catheter procedure.
  • You have at least two of the following risk factors: age over 65, diabetes, heart disease in multiple vessels, clogged leg arteries, chronic kidney disease, prior stroke or mini-stroke, prior heart attack, complex stent procedure, prior bypass surgery, heart failure, BMI over 27, need for a blood thinner, low red blood cell count, recent bleeding event requiring transfusion, a bleeding disorder, current cancer (except skin cancer), or previous bleeding in the brain.
  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • You are able to understand and follow study procedures.
