Who can take part
- You must be between 18 and 70 years old.
- You have been on a breathing machine (ventilator) for more than 48 hours.
- You have signs of pneumonia based on your symptoms and chest X-rays, and a score called CPIS is greater than 6.
- You do not have an infection or sepsis when you first entered the ICU.
- You do not have conditions like cancer, severe liver disease, or end-stage kidney disease.
- You do not have a very low platelet count (≤20) or need platelet transfusions.
