This study looks at how your body's internal clock affects muscle rhythms and metabolism. You will stay in a lab for a day while we take small muscle samples and measure your sleep, activity, and responses to a local anesthetic.

Who can take part
- You are between 18 and 50 years old
- You are a woman who has not gone through menopause yet, or a man
- Your BMI is between 18 and 35, and you weigh at least 67 kg
- You have no diagnosed metabolic illness (like diabetes) or family history of type 2 diabetes
- You sleep 6 to 8 hours a night, are not an extreme morning or night person, and can keep a fixed sleep schedule for a week before the study
- You are willing to avoid alcohol, caffeine, strenuous exercise, certain foods, and some medications for a day or more before the study
