Who can take part
- You are between 18 and 75 years old.
- You have been diagnosed with sudden sensorineural hearing loss (a sudden drop in hearing that is not caused by a blockage or middle ear problem).
- Your hearing loss is severe (average hearing threshold of 60 dB or more in the affected ear).
- You started treatment within 2 weeks of when your hearing loss began.
- You do not have certain conditions like congenital hearing loss, heart failure, autoimmune disease, or a brain tumor called acoustic neuroma.
